Compression Fracture Treatments

Kyphoplasty

Kyphoplasty

Conditions Treated:

Conditions Treated:

Kyphoplasty is a procedure to relieve pain from spinal compression fractures caused by conditions such as osteoporosis and trauma. It involves inserting a balloon into the fractured bone, and filling it with bone cement to stabilize the fracture and reduce pain. This restores vertebral height and improves overall spine alignment, providing quick relief from back pain.

Conditions Treated:

Kyphoplasty is often recommended for patients who have the following:

  • Vertebral compression fractures
  • Osteoporosis
  • Trauma
  • Spine affected by tumors

The procedure typically lasts less than 45 minutes. Patients feel immediate pain relief with minimal postoperative discomfort. If IV sedation is needed, a driver is required. For more information about the procedure, call us at 479-234-4433.
